Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) as a specialized Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands in cooperation with the Union of Information Technology Enterprises and support of Microsoft Innovation Center announce a call for applications to participate in “Selected Project Management Subjects in Offshore IT Outsourcing” workshop.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Workshop covers the project management aspects of IT outsourcing and software development and is most useful for the senior management and project managers of IT companies delivering software development services to clients overseas.
OBJECTIVES:
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will:
- improve their understanding of the importance of PM in offshore ITO
- acquire structured knowledge about project management issues pertinent to offshore outsourcing of IT services
- get and develop tools and practical processes they can use and introduce once they are back to daily work

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Successful participants might be involved in 1 month Project Management Online Training Module and 7-10 days study tour/business forum in the Netherlands to take part in summer, 2012. Additionally, matchmaking facilities, as well as grants for innovative projects, support to participation in EU based events might be provided to successful participants. ABOUT THE TRAINER: Laszlo Klucs
Mr. Klucs was born in Hungary and has been living in the Netherlands since 1994.
He has earned his MSc in Industrial Automation and Logistics in 1989. Ever since he has been working on IT projects all over the world. Mr. Klucs, in various positions, had designed and implemented ERP, business and financial systems and managed a wide range of projects.
His main field of expertise, within the information technology space, is offshore outsourcing, compliance, project management, trade-, export-, and business development, industry competitiveness and training.
Since 1994 Mr. Klucs has been working as an independent consultant. He has worked in many countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union. He has been involved in numerous international projects and worked together with several international institutions - such as the World Bank, European Union, Dutch Government, International Finance Corporation, UNIDO and United Nations - private-, and public sector organizations.
Since 1999, Mr. Klucs has been working with CBI on supporting IT companies in a wide range of countries in order to improve their competitiveness and assist them to successfully enter the European market.
Mr. Klucs has also designed and delivered training programs, wrote several training manuals, books and articles about various subjects within the information technology space and offshore outsourcing.
