Armenian ICT companies had a great success at the regional event

The motto of the event was “Partnerships for Innovation and Competitiveness”. The major objective was to establish and promote effective partnerships among the public and the private sectors, associations and other IT&T industry related organizations in the Central and East Europe, Baltic States, Caucasus and Middle Asia region to promote innovation and competitiveness. The organizers of the event were ICT Business Council of Georgia and the State Commission of E-Governance Development of Georgia.

During the Event Georgia Innovation Award was also nominated. On 28th of October, 2009 special Jury, where UITE representative was also involved, assessed a number of projects submitted for 12 nominations and in 2 sectors-solutions for government and business solutions. Award Ceremony took place on 30th of October, and Armenian companies took awards in 4 nominations.
•    Nork information-analytical center in  "The best IT project Proposal" nomination
•    Strategic Partners in "The best integrator of the year", "The best multimedia project"  nominations
•    Spyur  in "The best Business to Business Solution"  nomination
According to the agreement with Georgian partners from ICT Business Council UITE had also arranged Armenian Corner in the front of Conference hall with booths for Armenian companies. This gave an excellent opportunity to Armenian companies to disseminate their materials, meet with partners and provide the information about their solutions and products. UITE has also managed the involvement of Georgian volunteers in Armenian Corner to provide Georgian companies and partners the information about Armenian companies in Georgian language.
As an outcome of the GITI, UITE was invited to participate in the meeting of South East Europe ICT Forum that will take place in Orhid, Macedonia, on November 18-22, 2009 and become a board member of this regional organization.
UITE has also coordinated the meeting of Armenian companies with the Netherlands Embassy officials, where different cooperation issues were discussed.
