The Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) of Armenia is IT Association of Armenia.UITE was founded in 2000 as a non-profit, non-governmental association of ICT companies working in Armenia.
VISION
The vision of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises is to ensure that there is an internationally competitive ICT/High Tech industry in Armenia.
MISSION
The mission of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises is to make Armenia an internationally recognized ICT/High Tech leader, by providing focused, value-added services and initiatives, which include valuable networking, industry advocacy, business and educational services.
UITE Becomes a Finalist in the Stockholm Challenge Award 2008
ICT/High Tech Educational Consortium designed by the Union of IT Enterprises (UITE), the leading IT association in Armenia, became a finalist of the Stockholm Challenge 2008 award with its ICT/High Tech Educational Consortium Design and Establishment project. The Stockholm Challenge promotes ICT for development with a six category award that invites entries from projects that use ICT to tackle the world’s biggest problems. Participants present their methods and their achievements to the Challenge jury, the world and each other through the Challenge online platform. The best projects will win the prestigious Stockholm Challenge trophies and receive a 5000 Euro stipend. The award ceremony will take place in the Stockholm City Hall on May 22. That is the last day of Challenge Week, which will be held at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm on May 19-22.
